It’s nobody’s fault

He thought about all whys and wherefores and whispered in a low voice after a long lull, “I don't know why but I’m still scared!” “Scared of ?” she queried in mistrust. “Of losing someone I have loved so much!” he replied as he laid his eyes on the floor and slowly started closing them before she could notice the tears buried in there. She had guiltiness masked behind the surface of her beautiful smile as she knew that whatever happened was wrong and she was repentant for the endings. “But how can you lose someone that never actually belonged to you?” she asked disguising a guilt in a fabricated grin. He took the eyes off the floor and gazed into hers and answered, “We both knew how this was going to end – I just never realized how painful it would be when it would one day finally hit me on my face. You were always real about making me understand that we can never be together with your actions – but your words were controverting. I started considering those words ...

True Love

I always thought true love is all about kissing the flames; it’s about abrupt Saturday late night long drives and giving gifts to make them feel special all the time. I thought it’s about sleeping under the light of million stars with fingers intertwined and letting the silence speak on behalf of your beating heart. I thought it’s like playing the slowest love song only two hearts in love with each other can hear. I thought it’s about falling asleep in the arms of the one you love by gently strumming your fingers on their chest. I thought it’s like a story “as seen on TV” or a fairy tale or saga written in a book. But ever since the day I fell in love with someone, I have realized that it’s a completely different notion. True love is not about hearing “I love you too” in responses, it’s more like hearing “You don’t understand me at all” most of the times; but still not letting them go because you can’t live without them. True love is like speaking the truth even when you kn...

Home!

What we have between us is something special! Something which we have never found in the past  – we have longed to belong to someone like we are and have had our equal share of slip-ups. We have kissed wrong lips and have swayed to the tunes we never liked. We have lived within four walls and have never felt like we were home. Something we know makes our present content and splendid  – Yes, we do argue a lot. A lot more than rest of the world can ever know. We fight like crazy animals, and we do that most of the times. We don’t pretend that we are perfect couples but then the way we kiss each other after that ruthless battle is what gives us an unparalleled pleasure. And this is what we are best at, we fight. You tell me how unworkable and impractical I am and I tell you that you are a biggest headache of my life. You are not afraid to hurt my feeling and I’m not afraid to pull you down with my sarcasm. Something we are sure we will never find in the fu...

The Fear that Surrounds

I know you are there. I can feel your presence around me. I can feel your secured arms wrapped around my tired body during cold nights. I can feel your warm breath falling on my lips when you come closer to me. I can feel your existence surrounding my soul. But yet, there is something very consuming, something negative, something perplexing, something very grimy that is making me petrified and is bedevil to me. It's the fear - the fear of losing you - the fear of realizing that this elation could just be a dream - and one day when I will wake up, this will all be gone and I'll be dragged back to the hell where I belong. It's the fear - the fear of seeing you sharing your body with someone else - your clothes smelling of a cologne that isn't yours. It's the fear - the fear of tasting someone else inside your mouth - a fear that lingers inside my bones. A fear that is deeply anchored in my brains. A fear of letting you go! A fear of watching your leav...
